I appreciate the power and simplicity of Angeles Arrien's Four-fold Way, and notice that some of our patterns relate to each element in it:
- Show up — Courageous Modelling
- Pay attention to what has heart and meaning — Follow the Energy, Presence
- Speak the truth without blame or judgement — Naming, Witness with Compassion, Good Faith Assumptions
- Don't be attached to outcome — Openness toward Outcome
(I've learned that these aspects are perhaps earlier than Arrien's work, e.g. in Dan Millman's Way of the Peaceful Warrior.)
It would probably be valuable to weave through the patterns more about group development, that is, how these patterns apply differently depending on where the group is in its life.
