More than a decade ago, i realized that in group facilitation i had found my calling, in Frederick Buechner's sense of that word: "where your passion meets the world's crying need." I feel blessed to do work in the world that helps people, meets my values, calls for creativity, pays decently, requires me to bring my best self forward, and offers incredible autonomy and freedom. I conduct my practice on a gift economy basis.
The co-creation of this pattern language is presently a main work focus. For me personally this project is:
- a means to "scale up" the impact of facilitation beyond those who i touch going from group to group;
- an opportunity to distill and integrate what i have learned over time;
- a way to connect with colleagues new and old who i respect and care for.
