The following tasks would need to get done for a Drupal site to be ready. This list is a starting point.
- Get SSL Certificate (has to happen for any use of the new URLs, right? Not drupal-specific, assumes Tree.)
- Confirm hosting (probably get a reasonable price through GoDaddy. Smallbox recommends checking out Amazin E2.)
BACKGROUND TECH
- Select & Customize Theme
- Search for and test edit in place plugin. (http://drupal.org/project/editablefields is one option) (http://drupal.org/project/contextual is another)
- Set up Card content type (huh? says Tree. Do you mean creating the fields on a cardtype so that the new site is ready to receive an import of pattern data?)
- Set up Wiki functionality
- Set up 'comments' functionality
- Figure out how we're handling donations, and set that up
- Bring over all user accounts from other site, include the waiver thing as people come over
- Teach first few people how to use this site as a Wiki
CONTENT
- Finalize copy for all pages we are initially loading
- Post immediate basic instructions for how to use Wiki functionality of site
- Import all material from cards--(you mean the patterns? probably not all material, some fields are no longer relevant, so we need to actually decide what to bring over--Tree)
- Prep PDF for download (mainly Janet)
STAGE 2 (AFTER INITIAL FUNCTIONS LISTED ABOVE ARE TAKEN CARE OF)
- Create order form
- Create json calls for Paul's site & test
- Create video with screen shots for better tutorial on using new Wiki
