Power of Place+how others are related primary - Pattern Language of Group Process

Don't underestimate the Power of Place. A group meeting site that spills out into a courtyard with a water fountain, or adjoins a nature preserve has a powerful effect on the Aesthetics of Space and hence the quality of group work. The place where you meet can provide the 'raw material' of the convenors may choose to work with.

If the Presence of Nature is a major factor, choosing a site where Nature is the dominant presence may be one of your most important planning decisions. -- Tom
