    Contrast with “Setting Intention”.

Is Purpose the pattern around discerning purpose, and “setting intention” keeping it in mind?

Or is it like Strategy and Tactics: Purpose is river, intentions is the currents.

    This is feeling right.

There is a chance these are different scales of the same pattern, but we're feeling like they are distinct.

Purpose as the central element of Pattern Language for Group Process:

    - The purpose is what we refer back to constantly in the design of a process.

Note: There's an aspect of good facilitation that's about being able to work 'in the moment', but as a facilitation architect, the design is anchored in the purpose of the group, the purpose of the gathering.

Can be setting the purpose, or responding to a call. “Knowing Purpose”.

Note that “Shared Purpose” is important. Be sure that it's in the description / heart.

    What are the antipatterns?

    - Responsiveness (in the moment)
