  • For fifteen years, I have focused my action research and learning efforts on improving the conduct of meetings to engage participants more effectively as they discuss difficult issues.  I have facilitated meetings intended to bring multiple groups together around strategic planning, organizational restructuring, and difficult societal issues.  Currently. I am designing and facilitating a series of meetings around the world with different country teams of NGOs, the UN, International Red Cross, and other participants to plan better responses to the continuing flu pandemic situation.

My work has focused particularly on finding ways to coach leaders to run more effective meetings through the structures they choose for those meetings.  I have coached leaders in this way so that they can run better meetings themselves, with no "skilled" facilitator present.
