Hi all!
Here's a bio, edited somewhat from my LinkedIn page...
As a consultant, I work with leaders in organizations or communities who want to help people with different perspectives work together more effectively and creatively. I work with businesses, non-profit organizations, local government agencies, and community groups, facilitating difficult conversations, helping people develop shared systemic understandings, and midwifing conflict (whether it's simmering or boiling!) into practical creativity and collaboration.
I also teach leading-edge facilitation approaches to facilitators, consultants, community change agents, and in-house staff. In addition to organization development, my background also includes social services, social work, education, and education reform.
My vision is a world where people delight in, and make good use of, the creative potential inherent in different perspectives. My mission is to help catalyze a lay movement of people who can both "hold space" for one another, AND, "hold space" for groups, so that both inner and outer conflicts can be transformed into creative synergy.
I have extensive training and experience in Dynamic Facilitation, Focusing, and Internal Family Systems therapy. I am also conversant with Open Space, Future Search, World Cafe, Appreciative Inquiry, and Non-Violent Communication. My roots are in Freirean dialogue, Council Circle practice, and action research.
