  • At one time we were holding bi-weekly conference calls to create another way to meet and connect with fellow pattern writers.  That activity has not been happening lately, but if you'd like something along these lines, drop a line to Tree and she'll help figure something out.

These calls are open to anyone and everyone interested in:

    • learning more about the project
    • connecting with others who are interested in this
    • getting questions answered and exploring the territory together
    • finding colleagues to partner with on writing a pattern or two
    • getting support for pattern writing.

    Typical call agenda:

    • Welcome, Opening and Introductions
    • Questions about the Project - to help people orient
    • Followup - checking in with patterns that people took on developing at previous calls
    • Pattern Development where do people have passion, finding mutual interest around patterns people want to write/co-write.
    • Setting Goals Next steps - potentially "breaking out" to work on patterns right there.

We will work on evolving the conference call agenda template as we go.

(SEE UPDATE BELOW) The number is:

    201-793-9022, code 4930808 (Skype: +9900827044930808)

    (Backup is 605-475-4333, code 701706)

UPDATE: the above number is no longer avaliable. We can use Skype online, or there is a phone-based service that Dave has subscribed to that you can try, as follows:

FreeAudioConferencing.com (dial-in # is 1-712-429-0690, host PIN is 450654 and the participant PIN is 164514).

The advantage of Skype is that there are no toll charges and you can exchange files; the advantage of the audioconferencing service is that it uses the phone not your computer. If all participants have unlimited calling to the US for a flat rate this will be a completely free call; otherwise Skype might be a better answer.

Please RSVP if you can by listing your name with a link to some blog or something about you, below.  And if you know a pattern or two you are interested in exploring with others, share that as well.
