91 pattern cards and accompanying booklet

You hold in your hands the seeds of a more dynamic and effective future group experience. The 91 group process pattern cards in this box reflect generations of accumulated wisdom that lie at the heart of successful meetings, conferences, retreats, town halls and other group sessions, large and small. Much of our collective work depends on conversations: quality interchanges by which we together envision, shape and begin to enact the world we desire. With guidance from the accompanying booklet, you can use these cards to support your process as a group designer, facilitator or participant. Use them to plan your next event, distill lessons from a past group experience, find creative insight in the middle of a process, or deepen your learning about the nature of groups. Open the box and begin discovering how these cards can bring life to your next meeting or other gathering.

  • Due to wiki limitations, some pattern names can't be made on the wiki at this time.  This is to remind us that Reflection-Action Cycle is to be published as Reflection/Action Cycle.

The photo creator for Invitation http://grouppatternlanguage.org/wagn/obrigado is supposed to be Marina Guimarães but the diacritical doesn't come through properly using Vine's automated system, so this should be fixed manually.

    • If you are signed in, you can double-click inside any "card" to edit it.
    • To make a link to another card when you're editing, place the card name inside double brackets, e.g. card name.
    • To post URLs or links where the text you click on has different wording than the technical location of the link, put the real location before a "pipe" character | and the displayed name after, like this:  display link.
    • To get to the page (and web address) for a card, click on Arrow_icon-medium-6101.
    • There's a link to your home card in the header — My Card: your name, and you can put information about yourself there, and change your password (in the Options tab).
